Suomen Yrittäjät is the largest business organization (in terms of membership) in Finland. The activities are made up of almost 400 local associations, 20 regional organizations and 62 trade organizations.
The highest decision-making body of Suomen Yrittäjät is the general assembly that gathers every second year. Between these meetings, the council decides on the policy and actions of SY. The coucil has delegated preparatory work and operative decision-making to the board. In addition, the board has appointed committees and networks to support its work.
The activities of Suomen Yrittäjät are governed by the rules of the association. Regional associations, trade associations and local societies follow their own rules.
The Council of Suomen Yrittäjät was elected at the general meeting in Seinäjoki on October 11, 2024. The council meets twice a year. Its term of office is two years.
The Committees bring an entrepreneurial perspective to the influencing work of Yrittäjät. The aim is to improve the daily lives of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The purpose of the labour market delegation is to monitor the development of work-related legislation and collective bargaining policies, influence and participate in the preparation of legislation and other measures that affect the labour market.
