Mari Laaksonen elected chairperson of Suomen Yrittäjät representative council

Mari Laaksonen is the chairperson of the Suomen Yrittäjät representative council for the next two years.

The Suomen Yrittäjät general assembly elected the next representative council chairperson in Tampere on Saturday.

Mari Laaksonen, owner of the Helsinki-based company CleanMarin Oy, received 1,422 votes in the representative council chairperson election. The other candidate, Andreas Ögård, received 374 votes.

Laaksonen, who has previously served as vice chairperson of the representative assembly, thanked all the holders of positions of trust in Suomen Yrittäjät in her victory speech.

“Each of you is worth your weight in gold. No organization can make it by itself. We all need each other.”

Janne Vuorinen, a Pirkanmaa-based transport service entrepreneur of the MP-Kuljetus Ky company, was elected by the general assembly as vice chairperson of the representative council. He received 1,024 votes in the election. The other candidate, Mikko Sundell from Satakunta, received 761 votes.
