New Yrittäjät app launched containing mobile membership card

SY has launched its new mobile app for members.

The new app makes enjoying the benefits of membership of Suomen Yrittäjät, the Finnish SME association, even easier. The app’s features include a mobile membership card and Suomen Yrittäjät member benefits.

The app also includes national, regional and local entrepreneurial news, as well as useful training sessions and events.

The Yrittäjät member app can now be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play. To start using the app, enter your email and password you use to log onto the Suomen Yrittäjät website. All owners and employees in a member company whose email addresses are on the Suomen Yrittäjät member register can download the app.

If you have downloaded the old Yrittäjät app, it will keep working until the end of January 2024.

Mobile membership card replaces plastic

The new app means that the plastic membership card is being retired. New members will not automatically receive a plastic membership card after the start of 2024.

You can continue to order a plastic membership card if you wish by logging onto the website. Click here for more information about ordering a plastic membership card.

Each member business may order one free plastic membership card. Each additional card costs €5. The current plastic cards are valid as long as their magnetic strips, that is, until the end of the period for which the membership fee was paid in 2023.

Mikael Pentikäinen, CEO and President of Suomen Yrittäjät, says that the mobile app is a key part of the association’s digitalization and enhanced member service.

“A very large proportion of Suomen Yrittäjät members follow what we do and use our services digitally. We want them to keep having access to the highest quality services possible whenever they need them,” he says.

“We want to make it easier for our members to interact with us and keep up to date with issues that are important to business owners. We are constantly developing our entire digital service offering, including our mobile app. That’s why we appreciate feedback and tips on how the services should be developed,” Pentikäinen says.
