Nominate your favourite for Research Entrepreneur of the Year
The KAUTE Foundation is seeking nominations for Research Entrepreneur of the Year.
The award, worth €5,000, is presented annually by the KAUTE Foundation. With the award, the KAUTE Foundation wants to encourage young researchers, in particular, towards an entrepreneurial career. The award is presented to a business owner with a research background who applies research in their business activities.
Last year, Ashish Mohite was chosen as Research Entrepreneur of the Year. His company, Hyperion Robotics, reduces the carbon footprint through a 3D print-out of low-carbon concrete.
Anyone can make a nomination for a recipient of the award by 31 Jan. here.
The award is presented to a person who has created new business based on their research. It may be presented to a person who is a full-time business owner who has a new research-based business idea and whose business activities are in their initial phase (turnover of under €10 million and a business established under five years ago). The nominated person must be a full-time business owner who has previously worked as a researcher in a higher education institution or research institute.
