Municipal Barometer 2024

Every two years, the Local Government Barometer survey charts cooperation between municipalities and entrepreneurs and the state of industrial policy at national, regional, and municipal levels.

For the 11th time, the Suomen Yrittäjät Local Government Barometer survey was carried out with Taloustutkimus during 12.2.–8.4. A total of 9,627 entrepreneurs responded to the survey.

We recommend that the results be utilized as widely as possible in the dialogue between municipalities and business owners and in developing the municipality’s industrial policy.

Winners of the three categories according to the size of the municipality
The survey reveals in which municipalities it is best to do business.

The winner of the large municipality category with a population over 50,000 is Seinäjoki in South Ostrobothnia.
The winner of the medium-sized municipality category (population 10,000–50,000) is Lieto in Southwest Finland.
The winner of the small municipality category with a population under 10,000 inhabitants is Vieremä in North Savo.
