Janika Tikkala appointed Communications Director at Suomen Yrittäjät

Janika Tikkala, MA (34), has been appointed Communications Director and a member of the management team of Suomen Yrittäjät.

Tikkala has worked at Suomen Yrittäjät since 2019. She is moving into the role of director from that of communications manager. She has also served as a business policy specialist at Suomen Yrittäjät.

Tikkala has also worked as special assistant to former prime minister Juha Sipilä at the Prime Minister’s Office, parliamentary assistant at the Finnish Parliament, and a journalist at places such as Finnish News Agency STT.

“Tikkala has done excellent work as a business policy expert and communications manager at Suomen Yrittäjät. She knows the organization well, as well as the challenges and resources of communications. She has good media relations, and broad experience both as a journalist and in a demanding communication role at the Prime Minister’s Office,” Suomen Yrittäjät CEO and President Mikael Pentikäinen says.

“I’m excited to take on this role in the nationwide SME organization. Our goal is to work together to communicate visibly and effectively for the good of SMEs. We support business owners’ everyday work by offering the latest information and news to advance their endeavours,” Tikkala says.
